2/4/2010 GCL-Poly Builds 20-MW Solar PV Project -Xuzhou City, China
GCL-Poly Energy has completed construction of a 20-megawatt (MW) solar photovoltaic power station. The project, which is operated by Xuzhou GCL Solar Energy, a subsidiary of GCL-Poly has been connected to the grid. It is currently one of the largest solar photovoltaic power stations in China.
Xuzhou Photovoltaic Power Station is located in Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province. It covers an area of approximately 115 acres and represents a total investment of approximately ¥420 million [US $61.5 million].
The project is a fixed system that features both bi-axle and mono-axle tracking systems, as well as equipment that is designed to communicate with computer monitoring facilities. Once in full commercial operation, the project is expected to have an annual power generation of approximately 26,000,000 kilowatt-hours and operate for approximately 1,300 hours per year.

The station has made the breakthrough in project construction and research in the domain of large-scale photovoltaic power station in China,” said Zhu Gong Shan, executive director, chairman and CEO of GCL-Poly.
